Evan Roberts is sounding Mets alarm: 'It's panic city!'

Evan Roberts had to record an emergency episode of the Rico Brogna podcast after the Mets were swept by the lowly Cubs on Wednesday night.

But Evan was providing the voice of reason for fans who may be panicking about New York’s division lead dwindling to 0.5 games following losses to teams like Chicago, the Pirates, Marlins, and Nationals, teams the Mets have no business losing to.

“Everybody, try to relax,” Evan said, just before breaking out in laughter.

Because, of course, Evan was indeed not providing a voice of reason. He was here to sound the alarms, because it is officially time for Mets fans to panic.

“I can’t even say that with a straight face,” Evan said. “Don’t relax, okay? It’s panic city! We’ve arrived!”
