Evan has a win-win trade between the Yankees and Mets, and says the Bombers would be given a choice in who to include in the trade.

The basics of the deal? The Yankees get Tommy Pham, and the Mets get one of the Yanks’ productive relievers.

“I would trade him to the Yankees,” Evan said of Pham. “I would give Brian Cashman a choice. ‘you tell me the reliever you want to send back.’ You want to send me Ian Hamilton? Albert Abreu? Ron Marinaccio? I’d give him the choice.

“Any reliever the Yankees send back would instantly become the second best reliever in this bullpen.”

The Yankees have one of the best bullpens in baseball, though Jimmy Cordero was just suspended for the rest of the season for violating the league’s domestic violence policy. Jonathan Loaisiga could be returning, which means the Yanks could sacrifice an arm to get some much-needed offensive production in the outfield. Pham is currently batting .287 with an .870 OPS.

“Who says no to that trade?” Evan said. “You got your left fielder, because the Yankees left field situation is not that ideal. Done.”
