Francisco Lindor went 0-for-3 on Tuesday night with two walks, and his final at-bat of the night was a strikeout with the bases loaded and one out with the Mets trailing by one in the bottom of the eighth.
BT says he really didn't like what he saw from Lindor in that at-bat, which ended with a swinging strikeout on a hard 3-2 sinker that broke over the middle of the plate.
"His approach was broken last night," BT said. "It was so selfish.
"Francisco Lindor is more concerned about being the hero than he is about modifying his approach to do his job properly. You're swinging from your heels on a 3-2 pitch with the bases juiced in that situation? You gotta put the bat on the ball, dude."
Lindor vowed after the game that he will turn things around at the plate, and that it's a "matter of when," but BT says until then, Lindor should be able to do the little things to scratch a run across.
"I get it, when things go awry and you hear some boos…he's feeling that and hearing that," BT said. "But eventually, there's an expiration point for the amount of times that he's gonna own it and start doing his job for the amount of money he's paid."
