Gio: Dodgers have 'figured out' Francisco Lindor

The Mets are on the brink of elimination after being blown out yet again on Thursday night, and Gio says one of the biggest worries for New York is that the Dodgers have seemingly neutralized the team's greatest asset in Francisco Lindor.

"Other than that home run in this series, the Dodgers have figured him out," Gio said. "They're striking him out. They're working him inside, throwing those curveballs went he's hitting lefty on the inside part of the plate, and he's swinging over top of it. And they're throwing fastballs up, and he's not catching up to those.

"If he isn't him, to be the catalyst for this offense, then it's even worse."

Lindor picked up a couple singles in game four, but otherwise, he struck out twice and has now been punched out five times in the series, compared to just four hits. The shortstop was putting up superstar production earlier in the playoffs, but in the NLCS, he has been kept relatively quiet.

The same can't be said for the Dodgers' stars like Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts, who both went yard in game four.

"They're top-end stars showed up," Boomer said. "The Mets have not."
