Gio: Mets dysfunction 'funnier than any show I can watch on TV'

Gio was listening to the Mets' latest collapse on the radio with Boomer on Wednesday evening, and as his favorite team continued its crumble, he couldn't help but laugh.

"When you reach that point in your life when you're no longer angry with the team after games like last night, and it becomes funny to you, then you've unlocked something as a sports fan," Gio said. "There's nothing I can do about it. So I'll be angry for a little bit, but eventually, especially with an organization like the Mets, it's funny."

Jorge Lopez getting ejected, throwing his glove into the stands, and reportedly being DFA'd for calling the Mets "the worst team probably in the whole f----g MLB" was simply comedy for Gio, who says he has moved past being angry as a fan, and simply finding the humor in rooting for a team that can't seem to get it right.

"That situation with the Mets last night was funnier than any show I can watch on TV," Gio said. "This is awesome! This is better than them playing well!"
