Keith: Mets are putting their fans through 'torture chamber'

Keith McPherson wasn't looking to troll the Mets after the Yankees came back and won the opening Subway Series game in Queens on Tuesday night, but it seems like the Mets are giving their own fans all the pain and frustration they could ask for.

"This has been hell week. Mets fans are in a torture chamber," Keith said. "The New York Mets have found every way to lose to torture their fans over the last week and couple days.

"I feel like Mets fans saw it coming. It's déjà vu. It's the same episode. It's a nightmare. It's a torture chamber. The Mets can't get out of their own way."

In the past week-plus, the Mets have suffered walk-off losses to the rival Braves, dropped a series to the Pirates, and now lost a game in which they held a 5-1 lead, and had the bases loaded with one out in the eighth inning, down by just one run. The Mets have now dropped nine of their last 10, and despite both New York teams scuffling heading into the Subway Series, there was plenty of drama at Citi Field on Tuesday.

"'Oh, the Subway Series has no juice.' Shut up," Keith said. "How can you even call that? Did you go to the game? Did you watch the game? How are you not entertained?"
