Keith: Mets fans hanging on Juan Soto dream is getting 'more and more pathetic'
Keith is already tired of Mets fans dreaming of plucking Juan Soto for the Yankees, but as fans continue to broach the subject, he happily laid out why it's not going to happen.
"What you can't handle is that the Mets are an absolute garbage, trash can organization, and they've been," Keith said. "Someone has to tell it to you straight. I'm not coming in here and saying 'the Mets will repackage it for Juan Soto,' or 'well, this prospect is on the way.'
"Just look at [Yoshinobu] Yamamoto and [Shohei] Ohtani. They're wearing Dodger uniforms because of the brand they've built…they're in it every year."
Mets fans angrily called in to push back, but Keith says they're only setting themselves up for more disappointment.
"It's just gonna sound dumber and dumber, and more and more pathetic," Keith said. "But we can play the game…there are just things money can't buy. Money can't buy the brand."
