Keith: Mets seem to have 'disconnect' at all levels of organization
Keith opened Monday night's show lamenting the state of the Mets after inexplicable baserunning hiccups and more feeble offense turned into another loss, this time dropping the series opener against the Guardians on Monday night.
"Winners make it happen, and losers let it happen. It seems like lately, they're just letting everything happen to them," Keith said.
In the end, Keith believes it's a culture thing in Queens, and says there seems to be major disconnects throughout all levels of the organization, with mixed messages coming from up high in terms of whether the team planned on competing this season, or if it was about looking ahead to 2025 and beyond.
"They take one step forward and two steps back," Keith said. "This lineup for the Mets, they can change it around, lead off different guys, but it's just disconnected.
"There is a disconnect between the fans - people not showing up to the ballpark - between the clubhouse, the players, the manager, the president of baseball operations, and the owner."
