Keith: No way Juan Soto sees 'dysfunctional' Mets as attractive destination

As the Mets fall to four games under .500 and the Yankees clinch yet another series win and hold the best record in the American League, Keith wants to know where all the noise went from Mets fans about poaching Juan Soto this winter.

"That Soto conversation has evaporated," Keith said. "Nobody is talking about Soto. I tried to tell you to stop that. It wasn't making any sense."

Sure, Steve Cohen is the wealthiest owner in baseball, but Keith says Soto isn't going to look at what's currently going on in Queens and decide that the Mets are a better option than the Yankees, who continue to roll since the start of the season when Soto made his pinstriped debut.

"Juan Soto is gonna leave the Yankees, who win every series, are arguably the best team in the American League, and say 'I want to go across town to the dysfunctional Mets'?" Keith said. "The new owner comes in, promises World Series then backtracks, brings in a new president of baseball operations, fires the legendary manager, and fires Billy Eppler."
