The Mets will be introducing their own dance team this season, and Keith couldn't help but laugh at the optics of announcing such a move after the team's lackluster offseason.
"Down five runs, they come out doing the heel toe," Keith said. "It's just too easy. You guys understand that, right?
"'Steve Cohen is inventing new ways to rally the crowd.' Just put a good baseball team out there, bro…The jokes write themselves."
Had it been last winter, when Steve Cohen went on a historic spending spree, maybe it would have been viewed differently. But this offseason provided plenty of ammo for jokes, in Keith's opinion.
"In an offseason where you lose Kodai Senga, have you even signed Michael Lorenzen yet?" Keith said. "David Stearns comes in and Pete Alonso is still waiting for his bag, and you're worrying about other things."
