Kodai Senga and Jeff McNeil had some fun before Thursday's eventually suspended game against the Marlins, as the two played Super Mario on the big Citi Field scoreboard from the stands.
Senga even wore a Mario hat while the two played in an otherwise empty stadium.
McNeil was likely enjoying the distraction not long after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a partially torn UCL, cutting short a second half to the year in which he had picked things up offensively after winning the batting title in 2022.
Senga, the team's new ace, tossed five innings of two-run ball in his likely final start of the season the night before, finishing his sparkling rookie season with a 2.98 ERA and 202 strikeouts.
