The Mets announced their big addition of international free agent signings, inking five-tool outfielder Simon Juan for a reported $1.9 million.
Jesse Sanchez of Baseball America reported the figure of the deal for the 16-year-old.

Juan, ranked No. 16 among international prospects by MLB Pipeline, bats and throws right-handed and was compared to a young George Springer and Byron Buxton in an MLB.com scouting report.
New York also signed another outfielder from the Dominican Republic for a reported $1.5 million, along with shortstop Dangelo Sarmiento, shortstop Jesus Baez, and outfielder Jefrey Rosa.
