The Mets have the most arbitration cases to settle in all of baseball, heading into Tuesday with 14 players needing contracts to avoid hearings.
Among the names are Pete Alonso, Edwin Diaz, Luis Guillorme, Miguel Castro, J.D. Davis, Dominic Smith, Jeff McNeil, and Brandon Nimmo. Here is a running tracker of those who have avoided arbitration so far:
Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported that Edwin Diaz agreed to earn $10.2 million in 2022, while ESPN's Jeff Passan reported that Pete Alonso agreed to $7.4 million. Mike Puma of the Post reports that Brandon Nimmo agreed to $7 million, while also reporting that Castro and Seth Lugo agreed to earn just under $3 million. Guillorme agreed to $875,000.
