Mets fan John Nolan tweeted from his account to his roughly 2,900 followers that if his tweet received at least 3,900 likes, his fiancé would allow them to be introduced as husband and wife to “Narco,” the trumpet-blaring song that has now become synonymous with Edwin Diaz’s historic season.

That tweet blew past its goal much like the Mets have blown past the rest of the NL East so far this season.

As of Thursday morning, the tweet, accompanied with a video of Diaz emerging from the bullpen to his intro song, had nearly 16,500  likes, as Nolan comfortably reached his goal, and the two will now be introduced at their wedding reception to trumpets instead of bells.

The Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet song has become a fixture among Mets fans this season, and with Diaz, who has been one of the most dominant closers in baseball, and a recent video of Diaz coming in from the bullpen to the song has been viewed over eight million times.
