UPDATE: The Mets and Pham reportedly have an agreement, per Heyman and Martino.
The Mets, after reportedly making offers to Andrew McCutchen and Adam Duvall before they signed elsewhere, now have an offer out to Tommy Pham to solve their outfield depth solution.
According to multiple reports, including MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Mets have made the 34-year-old veteran an offer, and SNY’s Andy Martino reports that the team is optimistic in getting a deal done.

Pham can provide the Mets with pop off the bench, as he hit 17 home runs in 554 at-bats last season, batting .236 and slugging .374. He split time between the Red Sox and Reds last season after playing the previous two seasons with the Padres, where he hit .226 with 18 home runs across 186 games.
Pham has mainly patrolled left field in recent years, and while the Mets are reportedly hopeful of getting a deal done, Heyman notes that one potential snag could come from Pham holding out for a deal with a team where he might get more of a chance to be a starter.
