Mets general manager Billy Eppler told reporters on Tuesday that the team may not be “completely done” in terms of offseason moves, despite already going on a historic spending spree.
A potential area to address could be adding more bullpen help, and the team is reportedly interested in a notable reliever.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, New York is among teams interested in White Sox righty Liam Hendriks, who is reportedly being made available via trade. The report was first made by Michael Mayer of Metsmerized.
The addition of Hendriks would give the Mets a formidable bullpen trio alongside the recently re-signed Edwin Diaz and the recently added David Robertson, and would address one of the team’s holes from last season’s 101-win squad, which was a sturdy bridge from the starting rotation to Diaz in the closer role.
Hendriks, 33, was an All-Star for a second straight season in 2022, pitching to a 2.81 ERA in 57.2 innings of work, logging 37 saves. He led the league with 38 saves in 2021 while pitching to a 2.54 ERA. He has been one of the best relievers in baseball over the last four years, logging a 2.26 ERA in that span.
Hendriks is signed through 2023, and his contract has a team option in 2024.
