Mets/Marlins postponed Wednesday, team will have 15th doubleheader Sept. 28

The Mets doubleheader total for the season has now hit 15.

With remnants of Hurricane Ida heading towards New York, the team announced that Wednesday's game against the Marlins is postponed, and the two teams will play a single-admission doubleheader at Citi Field beginning at 4:10 p.m. on Sept. 28.

The 15 doubleheaders for the Mets are their most in a season in 42 years.

New York will adjust to the weather by pushing its rotation back a full day. Carlos Carrasco will now pitch in Thursday's series finale against Miami.
