Mets players reportedly wearing 'sweat and rosin' shirts in clubhouse amid Max Scherzer suspension

The Mets have seemingly banded together in support of Max Scherzer amid his 10-game suspension.

According to Andrew Tredinnick of The Record, "a few" Mets players were wearing shirts around the clubhouse that read, "Sweat and Rosin" prior to Tuesday's series opener against the Nationals, an obvious nod to the controversy that stemmed from Scherzer's last start.

Scherzer was tossed from his last outing in Los Angeles after he was initially asked to change gloves and wash his hands following a check for sticky substances, then ejected when umpires said Scherzer's hands were the stickiest they had seen since the league mandated random inspections. Scherzer was seen pleading with the umpires that it was just rosin, but he was thrown out nonetheless.

Now, after Scherzer swore on his "kids' lives" that he used nothing but rosin, his teammates are getting behind him while he continues to serve his suspension.
