The Yankees postponed their game against the Blue Jays on Wednesday night, and the Mets followed soon after.
The team made it official shortly before first pitch was scheduled against the Rockies, announcing that Wednesday night's game was postponed due to heavy rain in the forecast.
Marcus Stroman and German Marquez were the scheduled starters.
The game will be made up on Thursday afternoon as part of a single-admission doubleheader. Game on will begin at 12:10 p.m., with the second game starting roughly 30 minutes after the first game ends. Both games will be seven innings.
Only tickets for Thursday's regularly scheduled game can be used for admission.
