For the 10th time this season, the Mets have been postponed.
New York announced Friday that its series opener against the Braves on Friday night was called off due to rain, with no makeup date announced.
The postponement comes nearly three hours before the start of the game, after fans were frustrated when a game against the Rockies was postponed less than an hour before scheduled first pitch earlier this week.
Taijuan Walker was scheduled to make his first start off the injured list, going up against Ian Anderson. The series will now begin on Saturday night.
