The Mets reportedly swung a trade on Friday morning, dealing minor league pitcher Franklin Sanchez to the Marlins for pitchers Elieser Hernandez and Jeff Brigham, according to Mike Puma of the New York Post.

Joel Sherman of The Post added that New York believes Trevor Williams will be looking elsewhere to seek a chance to be a full-time starter, leaving the Mets needing to fill Williams’ bullpen depth role, leading to Friday’s trade.
