The Mets left a rainy Queens for a snowy Denver.
After Thursday's matinee against the Phillies was postponed due to rain, New York's sixth postponement already this season, the team touched down in Colorado for its weekend series against the Rockies, and arrived to some serious weather.
Marcus Stroman posted a video to his Instagram of the team exiting the plane late Thursday night, and a layer of snow was already on the ground, with more heavily falling from the sky above.
"It's a blizzard out here!" Stroman yelled as the rest of his team exited the plane.
Stroman went over to a bundled Kevin Pillar, who was heading from the plane to the team bus.
"What are we, the Green Bay Packers?" Pillar said.
The Mets are due to begin their series with the Rockies Friday night, but with freezing temperatures and more snow in the forecast, it could become their seventh postponement in a season that is just over two weeks old.
