Sal was off on Friday as he moved into his new house, but he had to crash the BT and Sal show amid news of the Mets reportedly signing J.D. Martinez to a one-year deal.
"Did you think I was sitting this one out??" Sal said, surprising BT and C-Mac with his virtual appearance. "The King is back! Season back on! No way I'm letting you two Yankee homers sit there on a day where we should be celebrating the King!
"The King getting a DH! Finally we have a season to be excited about! All bow down to the King! King Cohen!"
BT was admittedly relieved that Sal was off so he didn't have to hear about the "King Cohen" praise for four hours, but Sal made sure to get his time in before getting back to packing.
"Not even my wife is gonna stop me today. Hey honey, you go to Lowe's, you get the boxes, I gotta deal with BT and C-Mac about the King!" Sal said.
"What a brilliant move by the King waiting this out…Vientos, see ya later, back to the minors! Mets season back on baby!"
