The Mets lost another series this past weekend, unable to rebound from their nightmare sweep at the hands of the Braves, and Sal says this team has shown little signs of resilience, dating back to last October.
"They had a closed door meeting and had an absolute dud the next day," Sal said. "I don't know if I would say this is the worst team money can buy, but it is the softest team money can buy."
Steve Cohen recently told the New York Post that that he still believes in Buck Showalter and Billy Eppler, and believes the team will turn things around and play to their payroll, and while Sal agrees with that sentiment, he doesn't like this team's chances of turning it around, because they haven't proven they can do that since the end of last season.
"This team is coming off a 101-win season," Sal said. "Never got off the mat after getting swept in Atlanta a year ago."
