Steve Cohen says Mets uniform patch will already be changed: 'They're Phillies colors'

Mets fans were widely frustrated with the team's new uniform patch, particularly with the size of it as part of their new partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian.

The red and white patch takes up most of the sleeve, and while the size was the main issue among fans, the colors of it will at least be addressed, according to owner Steve Cohen.

"They're Phillies colors," Cohen said of the patch, via Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. "It should be more Met appropriate."

Cohen says an agreement is already in place with NewYork-Presbyterian to make the patch's colors fit the Mets' blue and orange colors. As for the size, that could very well remain the same whenever the patch's appearance is altered. But perhaps making the colors match the uniform will help it blend in a bit more.
