Syracuse Mets have some fun on Twitter with Jacob deGrom's return

It's deGrom Day once again, for the first time in nearly 400 days, and everyone is having fun with it – even the Triple-A Syracuse Mets.

Of course, deGrom made his last two rehab starts with Syracuse, and on Tuesday morning, the Mets' top farm team Tweeted out this funny about deGrom returning to MLB:

DeGrom allowed four earned runs over eight innings in his two Triple-A starts, and now will face whatever is left of the decimated Nationals roster tonight in D.C.

Sadly, Syracuse probably could've used deGrom Tuesday, as they had an 11:30 a.m. start against Lehigh Valley and saw starter Mike Montgomery allow two runs in three innings before veteran reliever Tim Adleman was charged with six runs in just one-third of an inning in the fourth.

And, given what's going on in DC the last two days, chances are the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate might have a lineup not much worse, if at all, than what the Nationals will put out on Tuesday night – their Tuesday squad included rehabbing big-leaguers Jean Segura and Johan Camargo, as well as two others in Nick Maton and Jorge Bonifacio who have MLB experience over the last two seasons.
