Tiki & Tierney: Mets close to season being 'absolutely over'

As the Mets and Yankees get back in action on Friday night, the clock is ticking to begin making up ground in their respective divisions to keep their hopes of avoiding a Wild Card Series, or worse, alive.

Tiki and Tierney agree that the Mets might as well give up on that idea already, while BT says that dream is also over for the Yanks.

"They're not gonna win the division," BT said. "No way. They're 9.5 games out. The Yankees aren't that good either."

Tiki was more hopeful, referencing what the eventual return of Aaron Judge will do for the lineup.

"I feel like the Yankees still have the ability to push for the division," Tiki said. "While it doesn't feel like the Mets do."

But the two were in agreement that the Mets' season is currently hanging on the edge, and if things don't change very soon, the ship will have officially sunk.

"The Mets are legitimately two weeks away, two more weeks of bad baseball, and their season is absolutely over," BT said. "I'll give it two weeks out of respect to last year and some of the guys on the team that I think can still rally."

"It almost feels like it's less than that," Tiki replied.
