Tiki & Tierney not impressed with potential Mets Opening Day lineup

With a week to go until Opening Day, SNY tweeted out a graphic of what the Mets lineup could look like when the season begins.

Tiki and Tierney weren't too impressed.

"That doesn't sound like a really good lineup to me," BT said. "That bottom part stinks."

"It just lacks pop," Tiki added.

BT has made it known that the Mets need another bat to lengthen their lineup, and while he believes they will add one at the trade deadline, the offense until then still leaves a lot to be desired. As for any changes that could be made to maximize the current lineup, BT offered some tweaks.

"I would go [Brandon] Nimmo one, and [Jeff] McNeil two…then I would go [Francisco] Lindor, Pete [Alonso], and [Starling] Marte in the five spot. I would lengthen it that way. [Daniel] Vogelbach doesn't deserve to be in the fifth spot. What has he done? He's done nothing."
