Mikal Bridges is now in the Big Apple, coming to the Nets as a centerpiece in the trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Suns, but does Bridges wish he was part of the other team in Gotham?
Speaking on TNT during Brooklyn's win over the Bulls on Thursday night, Bridges started off by saying how much he loves playing in Madison Square Garden, home of the Knicks, before quickly adding in the fact that he has played at the Barclays Center before as well.
"I love being in New York. I love playing in MSG," Bridges said. "I remember playing in Barclays in college as well."
Bridges, a Villanova product, won two national titles with the Wildcats, and was college teammates with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, the latter becoming the newest Knick after New York swung a trade with Portland on Wednesday night. Bridges tweeted his sadness that he wasn't reunited with his former teammates after that trade, and now, perhaps he is wishing he was across town, instead of with the Nets for their rebuild.
