With Opening Day being rained out for the Mets, Morash sounded off on the “disgrace” of teams like the Mets and Yankees not having retractable roofs on their stadiums, which are only 15 years old.

“This is still a disgrace that we built all these new stadiums…there should have been retractable roofs on these stadiums,” Morash said. “The amount of times - and we’re gonna do this all summer - the forecast, we shouldn’t in the Northeast be checking the forecast when we built new stadiums.”

Evan noted the added expense it would have been to install the roof, and gave a hypothetical scenario where, to save money, the Yanks and Mets shared a dome to save money and make sure postponements were a thing of the past.

Morash didn’t hesitate.

“I’m in,” Morash said. “I already share a building with my football teams and it doesn’t bother me. I know we’re the big brother anyway. It would be like the Mets playing in the Yankees’ place.

“I’m just so tired of being a ticket holder to a game and having to sweat a week out on the forecast and the day of. It’s a disgrace when you think about all the money that was poured into these stadiums.”
