After making two picks in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft, the Brooklyn Nets had three more in the second round. Here’s a look at who they added to first-rounders Cameron Thomas and Day’Ron Sharpe:
No. 44 overall: Pepperdine F Kessler Edwards
Pegged as a “versatile 3-and-D guy” by ESPN’s Jay Bilas, Edwards was All-WCC First Team in his junior season after averaging 17.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Edwards ranks fifth in blocks (127) and eighth in three-pointers made (148) in program history, and in 93 total games in three seasons, he averaged 13.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 32.0 minutes per game. He was also on the All-WCC Freshman Team in 2019, and was Second Team All-WCC in 2020.
