Ben Simmons’ Nets debut didn’t go quite as well as the team likely hoped.
Playing in his first game since the 2021 playoffs with the 76ers, Simmons fouled out in 23 minutes of game action, finishing his night with just four points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field, two missed free throws in as many attempts, three turnovers, and a -26.
Simmons also added five rebounds and five assists.
His first bucket with Brooklyn came on an alley oop in transition after a Pelicans turnover, but he didn’t show much else the rest of the way.
