Nets fans likely won't believe it until they see him on the floor, but Ben Simmons is reportedly closing in on a return to action.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Simmons is graudating from his first stage of 1-on-0 workouts that he has been doing this week, and will begin practicing against teammates "in the coming week."
Per Wojnarowski, Simmons and Brooklyn remain hopeful about a return during the team's upcoming first-round series with the Celtics. It was previously reported that Simmons was eyeing making his season debut between games 4-6 of the series.
The Nets hope they can have Simmons available for any capacity, even if it is "10-to-15 minutes a game."
Simmons hasn't been able to make his Nets and season debut since being traded to Brooklyn due to a back issue that flared up during his return to play conditioning.
