Gio unloaded on an epic rant about the state of the Nets and the NBA's silence towards Kyrie Irving, but Boomer got his say as well during Wednesday's show.
"Kyrie Irving has ripped the heart out of this franchise," Boomer said. "He's been doing it for the past four years. He continues to do it."
Given the controversy surrounding Irving, Boomer says Nash likely walked away from his role as head coach, and doesn't buy the idea that he may have been fired. And if he did elect to leave, it was because of headaches like Irving.
"His latest fiasco is just that. It's a fiasco, it's a scandal," Boomer said. "I think when you read what Steve Nash said in his last press conference as head coach, and that they were all trying to learn and things out that nature. If you had self-respect and you're Steve Nash…you had to step back and say, 'There is no effing way I'm going to work with these idiots anymore.'"
