With Kyrie Irving out of Brooklyn, the Nets are reportedly now meeting with Kevin Durant, the team’s last remaining superstar from its hyped big three, to try and convince him to stay put.

Durant, who requested a trade this past summer before recommitting to the franchise, could say he wants out again now that Irving is gone, and the team would once again be leaning heavily on Durant to lead them to a title. If he does want to leave, then Gio is ready to call the Nets’ big three the biggest failure in NBA history.

“If Kevin Durant goes, then in their eyes, it’s a complete and utter failure,” Gio said. “Already to me it’s a complete and utter failure…but I’m sure that Joe Tsai and Sean marks want to keep him there, give it a run, and try to make this thing a success.

“If he leaves at this trade deadline, and there’s no Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, it’s the biggest failed experiment in NBA history.”

Boomer’s reaction? Whether Durant leaves or not, the Nets are already the historic landmark in the NBA in terms of all-time failures.

“It already is,” Boomer said. “The audacity and the lack of respect from the players back to the organization is startling. They basically kicked Sean Marks in the nuts like 10 different times. It’s ridiculous.”

“He looks like a buffoon,” Gio said of Marks. “Joe Tsai looks like a buffoon….it’s hilarious.”
