Evan Roberts predicted nearly exact Kevin Durant trade before it happened

Evan Roberts is having a tough day after the Nets traded away superstar Kevin Durant to bring an end to the franchise's superteam experiment, but he can take comfort in the knowledge that he can basically predict the future.

On Wednesday morning, roughly 14 hours before news broke that Durant was on the move, Evan posted a screenshot of a trade generator that he put together, shipping Durant to the Suns for Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and first-round picks in 2023, 2025, and 2027.

Fast forward to early Thursday morning when the trade was finalized, and the reported return was, you guessed it (actually, Evan did, but you get the idea): Crowder, Bridges, Johnson, and first-round picks in 2023, 2025, and 2027. There was the addition of another first-round pick in 2029, and Brooklyn also sent T.J. Warren to the Suns along with Durant, but as for the headliners of the trade, Evan hit the nail on the head.

Not that he felt good about it. He said on Wednesday's show that he knew Durant was a goner, but that didn't make it any easier to cope once it became a reality.

"Never could have imagined the failure this would become," Evan tweeted after Durant was traded.
