Steve Nash is out of a job, while Kyrie Irving has yet to be disciplined in any way for promoting a film based on a book loaded with antisemitism.
Irving also won’t be talking with the media for the time being, as revealed by Nets GM Sean Marks, and that was the tipping point for Gio, who unloaded on Irving, the Nets, and the league as a whole in a Wednesday morning rant.
“You got a guy who promotes this grossly anti-Semitic film…but Kyrie’s out there dishing assists and shooting a basketball, and nobody is doing anything about it!” Gio said. “What world are we living in? Where are the rational people? Where did you go? Where are the people with guts? Why are we afraid of this a-hole?”
Boomer pointed out that Marks could be the one to lay down a punishment on Irving (Marks told reporters on Tuesday that it’s being discussed internally), and Gio had some words for the GM as well.
“He’s a gutless wuss too,” Gio said. “All he cares about is winning. He pushed all his chips in the middle of the table, it’s a complete disaster for him, and he’s trying to save face. He’s gonna take the sexual harassment coach from the Celtics and stand by this anti-Semite jerkoff. Great job, Sean. Good plan.”
