James Harden diagnosed with hamstring strain, will be re-evaluated in 10 days

The Nets are hoping to get superstar Kevin Durant back sometime this week from a hamstring strain, but they are now losing another to a similar injury.

The team announced on Tuesday that James Harden underwent an MRI, which revealed a right hamstring strain. Harden left Monday night's win against the Knicks with hamstring tightness, which caused him to leave a game against the Rockets last week, and will now be re-evaluated in 10 days.

Harden left the game against Houston in the third quarter and wound up missing the following two games. He played just over four minutes in his first game back against New York on Monday, going scoreless before re-aggravating the injury.

Durant suffered a hamstring strain as well back in February, one which he thought was mild, but further tests revealed a more significant strain, and he has been out of the lineup since Feb. 13, though head coach Steve Nash said he expects Durant back at some point this week.

Harden has been putting up MVP numbers since coming over to the Nets, averaging 25.4 points, 11.0 assists and 8.7 rebounds per game.
