Kyrie Irving cleared to practice at Nets facility, still not eligible for home games

As the world turns -- or maybe doesn't -- so to does the latest on Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Irving -- who is believed to be unvaccinated, though he hasn't officially said that -- has obtained clearance to practice at the team's facility, because the facility has been deemed private:

With that said, Barclays Center is one of the most public locations in New York City, meaning that unless Irving gets vaccinated, he will not be eligible to play in the team's home games. The NBA does not have a vaccinate mandate, but cannot overrule New York City's local jurisdiction, which requires athletes to be vaccinated. Similar rules exist in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The Nets are hosting the defending NBA Finals Champion Milwaukee Bucks Friday, but Irving, now 29, is not eligible to play in the game, per the team.
