Kyrie Irving told reporters he felt "very disrespected" by the Nets, leading to his trade request, and Boomer and Gio couldn't figure out how Irving, of all people, was claiming disrespect.
"He said he felt disrespected, a man who disappeared from the team, left with no explanation…then he had the movie situation and wasn't backing down from that, and he was disrespected?" Gio said. "And look at the money he was making. They did everything for the first couple years to placate him.
"What was the length of time Kyrie Irving went without an issue with the Nets? A month?"
For Gio, Irving's mindset is a reflection of the state of the NBA, with many of its best players having an aggravating sense of entitlement that leads to rampant trade demands after signing long-term contracts.
"Just like every other one of these NBA stars, they want everything handed to them.," Gio said. "They feel like they have earned that. Decisions in the organization, everything. And if they don't get it, they cry like little babies."
