Nets fined $25,000 by NBA for 'failing to comply with league injury reporting rules'

The Brooklyn Nets have been fined $25,000 by the NBA for "failing to comply with league rules governing injury reporting."

The fine was levied as a result of the Nets' win in Indiana last week, where they sat out eight players – including Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving – with many of them being listed with a body part and "injury management."

The Nets won the game 136-133, but Kevin Durant – whom head coach Jacque Vaughn had said earlier in the week was likely to have some minutes cut back due to use – may have spoiled the tea before the game with this quote:

"They've got my best interest at heart, so I just listen to what they say and go with it."

Brian Lewis of the New York Post asked Vaughn on Saturday if he expected to hear from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and/or expected discipline for the injury report, to which Vaughn said "I think everything that has been reported today has been documented."
