Craig Carton shreds Nets: 'The organization has no balls whatsoever'

Between the handling of Steve Nash’s job as head coach and the lack of action towards Kyrie Irving following promotion of an antisemitic film, Craig Carton had seen enough with the Nets to go scorched earth on the state of the franchise after it parted ways with Nash on Tuesday.

“What a dysfunctional mess we have in Brooklyn,” Craig said. “They have an anti-Semite on their roster who makes no apology for quoting the works of guys like, I don’t know, Hitler, and then they fire their head coach, and the biggest rumor right now is the leading candidate to replace Steve Nash is Ime Udoka, who got suspended for the entire year because, well, we don’t really now. But we do know that some of the accusations involve sexual harassment of women in the workplace.”

Craig is placing plenty of blame at the feet of Joe Tsai, who as of Tuesday afternoon had done nothing publicly but send a tweet about his “disappointment” in Irving, and parted with Nash after publicly backing him following a reported ultimatum from Kevin Durant this past offseason.

“Joe Tsai, what an owner!” Craig said.

“The organization has no balls whatsoever. The multi-billionaire owner, who has done a lousy job as the owner of the Nets…he’s the worst owner in New York, has embarrassed himself and let down the Jewish community, and everybody who should have a sensitivity to thoughts like Kyrie Irving’s and the book/movie that he referenced. It’s not just a Jewish issue, it’s a human issue.”
