NBA Twitter is full of Nets slander over the past 24 hours, now that both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving reportedly want out of Brooklyn, turning what many considered the greatest superstar duo ever assembled into the biggest failure in NBA history.
Brandon Tierney got his licks in during Friday’s show, ripping the organization from the top down.
“The Nets made this mess, the Nets thought they were a world-class organization,” Tierney said. “The Nets are a joke.
“They’re poorly run, their ownership is horrendous, and Sean Marks allowed [players] to have too much control. The Nets are done.”
He also laid into Irving, who has now wanted out of multiple organizations and reportedly wants to go back to LeBron James and join the Lakers.
“You could make the case that Kyrie Irving is the biggest self-sabotager in the NBA,” Tierney said.
“Name me any other player who has had the great fortune of playing with LeBron James…and then playing with Kevin Durant, who is the best scorer of all time. It’s not good enough.”
