Blake Griffin will be back with the Brooklyn Nets next season, according to reports.
The veteran power forward has reached agreement with Brooklyn on a one-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The 11-year veteran joined the Nets last season after he was bought out of his contract by the Detroit Pistons, who acquired him from the Los Angeles Clippers in a midseason trade in January 2018, only about six months after signing a 5-year, $173M extension.
Griffin, now 31, played well in reserve action for the Nets, averaging 10 points and 21.5 minutes per game on 49% shooting from the field. His production tapered off in Detroit and toward the end of his run in Los Angeles, but he seemed rejuvenated in a bench role in Brooklyn.
The six-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year has evolved from his high-flying days in "Lob City" -- where he won a Slam Dunk contest -- eschewing those rim-rocking dunks and stardom for a supporting role alongside the big three of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.
