The Nets have ruled out James Harden for Friday night's game against the Jazz, giving Brooklyn an even tougher assignment in its efforts to end a six-game losing skid.
Harden, who missed two games last week, is being listed as out due to left hamstring tightness. He missed the Nets' loss to the Nuggets on Jan. 26 due to hamstring issues, which also plagued the stretch run of his season last year, and the playoffs.
Harden, who also sat out on Jan. 29 due to a hand strain, which was so bad that he could "barely move the hand at all," struggled badly in Brooklyn's last game, shooting 2-for-11 from the floor and 0-for-6 from downtown in a loss to the shorthanded Kings.
After that game, head coach Steve Nash said Harden didn't look like he "had his legs."
With Brooklyn's game being on the road on Friday night, it will still have Kyrie Irving in the fold, but Kevin Durant remains out with a sprained MCL.
