The Nets have released a statement following Tuesday morning's subway attack at the 36th street station, just blocks away from the team's practice facility.
In its statement, Brooklyn said to expect "an increased security presence" at the Barclays Center for the play-in game against the Cavaliers that will tip off as scheduled.
"Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the tragic event at the 36th St. subway station in Brooklyn this morning," the statement read. "Thank you to all who answered the call for help today.
"For those planning to attend tonight's Brooklyn Nets game, your safety and security is our top priority and we are working closely with our law enforcement partners. Fans should plan to arrive early and expect an increased security presence at Barclays Center."
The Nets take on the Cavaliers at 7 p.m., with a win securing Brooklyn the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The team's shootaround Tuesday morning was a somber one, as 10 people were shot during the attack, with the suspect still at large as of Tuesday afternoon.
