The Nets have reportedly signed a former Knicks center to help with their need of size coming off the bench.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brooklyn has signed Nerlens Noel after agreeing to a buyout with the Pistons. The 28-year-old will reportedly be agreeing to a 10-day deal.
Noel made just three starts with Detroit this season, averaging 2.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in 14 games. He was more productive during his time with the Knicks under Tom Thibodeau, but injuries stunted that growth last season, and he was dealt to the Pistons in a salary dump.
The Nets, who have been a player short on its 15-man roster, won’t have to make a corresponding move.
