The Nets have parted ways with head coach Steve Nash, and Brandon Tierney reacted to the news live on the air on Tuesday.
The reaction didn’t disappoint.
“The Nets have prided themselves on becoming a world-class organization. They are the complete antithesis,” BT said. “They are a disaster. They are a joke. They are a circus.
“Please don’t tweet me, ‘They’re better than the Knicks.’ I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about the lack of leadership, the lack of conviction, the lack of direction.”
The signs of discord between the head coach and his star players have been evident for a while, with Kevin Durant even reportedly telling ownership he wanted Nash gone or he wanted to be traded. So, for the Nets to decide to part with Nash after just seven games is mind boggling.
“Two years ago, a star player says they don’t have a head coach,” BT said. “That was the first warning flare that this wasn’t gonna end well. Then, last year, not once but twice, one of the best players in the world communicates to the owner, ‘You gotta get rid of this guy.’ Yet you start the season with a head coach who is a terrible head coach. He’s a great guy, but a terrible head coach. Watch the Nets once, and he’s atrocious. He doesn’t do a damn thing.
“You knew this was coming. You knew there’d be a mutiny. Players don’t respect him, they don’t want to play for him. Why the hell did you start the season with Steve Nash?”
