The Nets are piling on the picks for Thursday night’s NBA Draft.

Heading into the day with four picks, Brooklyn tacked on another in a trade with the Suns, acquiring the 29th overall pick and Jevon Carter for Landry Shamet, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

With the trade, the Nets now own the 27th, 29th, 44th, 49th and 59th picks in the draft.

Multiple teams were interested in Shamet heading into the draft, including the Lakers. The 24-year-old played 61 games for Brooklyn last season, starting in 12 of them, and averaged 9.3 points per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the floor. It was his first season with the Nets after being traded from the Clippers back in November.

Carter, 25, was a second-round pick by the Grizzlies in the 2018 draft, and appeared in 60 games for Phoenix last season, all but one coming off the bench. He shot 42.2 percent from the field and 37 percent from downtown, scoring 4.1 points per game while averaging 12 minutes per contest. The point guard is shooting 38.6 percent from the field for his career.
