The Nets added another veteran and former All-Star to their roster, agreeing to a deal with Paul Millsap, according to The Athletics’ Shams Charania.
Per Charania, the 36-year-old Millsap was also considering the Warriors, Clippers and Bulls, and eventually went with Brooklyn in his hopes of winning a title.
Millsap, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged nine points and 4.7 rebounds with the Nuggets last season, playing in a total of 56 games. His scoring output has steadily decreased over the last five years, with his most recent All-Star season coming during the 2016-17 campaign. It was the last of four straight All-Star selections during his time with the Hawks.
Millsap was a second round pick in 2006 but the Jazz, and will join Blake Griffin and potentially LaMarcus Aldridge as veteran forwards that can contribute for the Nets off the bench this season.
